A freelance video editor racing to finish a music video for a rising rapper begins to question the price of chasing his big break — forced to choose between survival and self-respect.

A darkly comic short film about the quiet compromises creatives make while chasing opportunity. Set in modern-day London, Still Loading captures the absurdity, humour and pressure of modern creative life — stylistically inspired by the cultural perspective of Atlanta and the intensity of Uncut Gems.

A proof of concept for a wider creator-led drama IP — built to scale from vertical episodic into a returning series with transatlantic ambition.

Gerald Sagoe is a London-based filmmaker, director and creative director with a decade of experience directing music videos and commercial content. Still Loading draws directly from that world — the quiet negotiations, the conditional opportunities, the tension between creative voice and industry survival.

Still Loading began as a short film proof of concept and has expanded into an ecosystem: a creator community, a live event series, a Substack, and a long-form drama IP with transatlantic ambitions — a Black British lens that American TV hasn't explored.
